Capture a photo under very low light conditions (e.g. candle light). Main emphasis of the photo should be capturing the atmosphere. Need not see the candle. Digital manipulation is allowed, although the main objective is to capture the low light photo. Can be Black and White. Flash should not be used.

Any photo which captures movement in water. This can either be a slow shutter speed photo of any moving water – a wave or a waterfall or a stream where the movement is blurred, or a fast shutter speed where the movement in the water is frozen in time. The main subject must be the water – not any object or person creating the movement in the water (like a swimmer). Digital manipulation is allowed. Can be Black and White

A photo where the truth of the photo has been changed to create an image which is not real. This section should not include just applying a filter to a photo for a different effect. The main emphasis of this photo should be to create an image using digital manipulation to alter the truth of the photo. Digital manipulation is essential. Can be Black and White.

Any photo showing any form of dance. The movement of the dance is the most important aspect to capture. Digital manipulation is allowed. Can be Black and White.

|
A photo showing any person involved at work. The work which the person is going is the main subject. The photo need not be a full body photo of the person. Any part of the human body which is directly involved in the task can be photographed. Digital manipulation is allowed. Can be Black and White.

Building/architecture in Black and White |

|
|
|
A Black and White image of any building or structure – modern or ancient. No colour highlights allowed. Digital manipulation allowed. Photo must be in Black and White

Altered reality – create an animal |

|
Using photoshop techniques, create a unique animal. Digital manipulation is essential. Can be Black and White.

Food photography |

|
Any photo showing food in any form. This can include a plate of food, or food ingredients, or photos of fruit and vegetables or meat etc. Digital manipulation is allowed. Black and White photos are allowed.

Any image which shows music in any form. Can include sheet music, musical instruments, people playing musical instruments or any other image which reflects music. Digital manipulation is allowed. Black and White photos are allowed.

An image where the main focus is a country road. This can include a dirt track to the open road. Main objective is the focus on the road in the countryside. Digital manipulation is allowed. Black and White photos are allowed.
