Digital Projected Images
Only fully paid up members may enter images in the monthly competitions.
The following entries will be accepted:
• A maximum of 3 images in the member's star group for promotion purposes, in either the Nature or the Pictorial category. • A maximum of 2 images in the Set Subject category.
A particular image may only be entered once at the club for judging.
A nature (N) image is restricted to depict observations from all branches of natural history except anthropology and archaeology, in such a fashion that a well formed person will be able to identify the subject material in its natural form. The story telling value must be weighed more than the pictorial quality. Human habitation should not be present. Still life subjects, domestic animals, mounted specimens, museum habitats, cultivated plants and floral arrangements or any form of photographic manipulation that alters the truth of the photographic statements do not fall under nature. Entries may include wild animals, birds, insects, flowers, trees, grasses, marine life or any geological subject. Wildlife is defined as one or more organisms living free and unrestrained in a natural or adopted environment. Photos of zoo animals or game farm animals do obviously not qualify as wildlife. Landscapes or seascapes without human elements can be entered as nature. Detailed nature macro photos are allowed.
The pictorial (P) category is regarded as an open category. It includes all images which are not defined as nature, such as sport or action, studio photos and portraiture, photojournalism or photo travel, industrial, manmade or human macro, still life, table top, as well as cityscapes, landscapes, seascapes, and also night photography.
Bloemfontein Camera Club make use of PhotoVault Online for submission of all club entries. <More details>
